Timba – The Evolution of Cuban Roots | Clinic
Since the beginning of his career, Keisel Jiménez has been exploring his roots and has actively and successfully driven the evolution of Cuban music, especially the Cuban Timba, which merges traditional music with more popular genres.
He worked successfully as a session musician as well as live performer and is especially known for his work with Alexander Abreu y su Havana d’Primera.
Within this clinic, Keisel Jiménez wants to share the foundations and peculiarities of the Cuban Timba and give it the chance to go beyond borders and cast seed for new influences and creation.
